Youth and Children's Groups

Junior Church is for school-aged children from 4-14 years old. In non-COVID times, we spend the first 15-20 minutes in church with the adults before going to our groups for about 40 minutes, but at the moment we are meeting outside from 10:45-11:45 each Sunday.

We are currently running 3 groups: 4-8 year olds, 9-10 year olds and 11-14 year olds. It's a time for children to have fun, make friends and grow to trust and love Jesus more as they learn about him from God's word. The older groups explore in a bit more depth what the Bible says and why it matters to us with plenty of time for games and discussion.

There is also an older youth group for 14-18 year olds who meet on Zoom on a Thursday evening to engage with and discuss a Bible passage, and also to chat and have fun together.
We're always very happy to welcome new members to any of these groups. Please email for further details or an invite to any of the Zoom groups.

If you have any questions about the programmes or want to know more about bringing kids along on a Sunday then please fill in our Contact Us form.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those thinking of visiting us, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

St Nicholas’ meets at the parish church by the canal bridge for our Sunday Service starting at 10:45am. We meet outside the church for coffee from 10:15 (served from Heni's barge on the canal - just beyond the humpback bridge).

In order to make sure we comply with current COVID regulations, we're asking people to book a seat by emailing by 2pm on the Thursday before the service you wish to attend.

Plan your journey:

Open Google Maps

Parking: You can park (free) for up to 3 hours at the George pub next to the church. If you're not visiting the pub, it is courteous to use the right-hand side of the car park.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There is a disabled toilet available.

Getting Connected

Home Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have two groups that meet on Zoom on Tuesday or Wednesday. Check out Home Groups to find out more, or we can put you in touch with a home group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.
