Christmas Pudding evening - 22nd November

We've decided that lockdown won't stop us from making our Christmas puddings together this year. On Sunday 22nd November at 8pm we're going to have a Zoom Christmas Pudding Evening. This is a bit of a St Nick's tradition now, but we're always delighted to welcome new faces. We will all make our puddings together, chat and listen to Vic Ritchie giving us some thoughts on Christmas. Unfortunately, we won't have Jan's wonderful mulled wine or mulled punch to enjoy, but perhaps you can have your own at the ready. The recipe will be the same as last year (although you can use a different one if you prefer). The recipe is available here. Most people have the red pudding bowl from previous years, but you can use any pudding bowl that can be steamed. If you'd like to join in but have difficulty getting ingredients, let me know.

If you'd like to join in, please email and then we'll send you the recipe along with the zoom invitation and password.

We really hope you'll be able to join us - it should be a fun evening!

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those thinking of visiting us, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

St Nicholas’ meets at the parish church by the canal bridge for our Sunday Service starting at 10:45am. We meet outside the church for coffee from 10:15 (served from Heni's barge on the canal - just beyond the humpback bridge).

In order to make sure we comply with current COVID regulations, we're asking people to book a seat by emailing by 2pm on the Thursday before the service you wish to attend.

Plan your journey:

Open Google Maps

Parking: You can park (free) for up to 3 hours at the George pub next to the church. If you're not visiting the pub, it is courteous to use the right-hand side of the car park.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There is a disabled toilet available.

Getting Connected

Home Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have two groups that meet on Zoom on Tuesday or Wednesday. Check out Home Groups to find out more, or we can put you in touch with a home group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.
